Join us for a 45minute discussion with Naturopath Amy Sartorel on peri-menopause followed by 15 minutes of Q&A. To close off the workshop we will have a 60-minute Yin Yoga class focused on hormonal health.
This workshop provides participants with the knowledge necessary when navigating perimenopause and menopause. Understanding the hormonal changes that occur in the body can help women manage their health better and make informed decisions regarding treatment. Our Naturopath, Amy, will define both perimenopause and menopause, and explain the causes underlying some of the most common symptoms experienced during this transition. Not so common symptoms will also be discussed.
Amy will provide insights into the changes that occur in the metabolism, bones, joints, brain, adrenals and cardiovascular systems during this stage of life, and some of the health impacts individuals may have long term. Additionally, participants will learn about holistic approaches to peri-menopause and menopause, and treatments available today.
Following this, Rachel will facilitate a Yin Yoga class for hormonal health. This gentle, grounding Yin Yoga class is designed to support and balance the endocrine system, promoting hormonal harmony and overall well-being. Through long-held, passive postures, we target deep connective tissues and stimulate key meridian lines connected to hormonal regulation, such as the kidneys, liver, and spleen.
